WHO WE ARE

Bergamot and Flow is a Sole Trader, not a limited company. You can contact me by emailing sam@bergamotandflow.co.uk

For legal purposes, Bergamot and Flow is known as the ‘data controller’.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you place an order online or by direct message
I will gather all the information I need to process your order. (For example: name, email, postal address, billing address, and card number or other payment method details. I will not send you email marketing unless you ask me to. You can opt out of email marketing at any time by emailing me at sam@bergamotandflow.co.uk

When you opt in to receive marketing communications from me, there are different ways you might do this, for example:

·     using an online form

·     when entering a competition and asking me to send you emails.

As with all sensitive data I keep all these details securely in my systems. The exception is payment details which are sent to and managed securely by my payment service provider. I do not keep a record of your credit card, for example, apart from the card type and last four digits for reference.

We use a facebook pixel which enables us to advertise to you on facebook & instagram. If you don’t want to be tracked by facebook you can opt out & control the advertising you see by visiting the facebook help centre. 

WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

When you place an order online or by direct message – fulfilling your order
Primarily we use the data you provide to us to fulfil our contract with you: we use your delivery address to know where to send your order; we use your email address to update you about your order status.

When you place an order online or by direct message – marketing
For marketing purposes we also use transaction data to analyse customer behaviour and to ensure we send you the most appropriate marketing (we don’t send you emails unless you ask us to). For example,

·     if you buy a certain product we might send you information relating to other products based on your purchase history;

·     if we want to know how many customers live in a certain area, we might generate a report to find that out.

·     The legal basis we use for processing data for marketing purposes is called ‘legitimate interest’.

WHEN YOU OPT IN TO MARKETING

Bergamot and Flow are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years. From time to time we may contact you by email with information about our latest products, news, promotional offers and events.

You can unsubscribe by emailing sam@bergamotandflow.co.uk or by clicking the unsubscribe link on the bottom of the email.

*Please note that it can take up to 7 days to fully remove you from our mailing list, so you may continue to receive emails whilst your request is being processed. 

**Please note that service emails relating to your order cannot be unsubscribed from and will continue to be sent. 

SHARING YOUR DATA

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
